Staff report

Aspen, CO, Colorado

ASPEN – The leaves are falling, the Denver Broncos remain in the playoff hunt, and Aspen’s a virtual ghost town, which can mean only one thing: It’s that time of the year for a ski swap.

And that’s what happening Saturday, when the 58th annual Aspen Ski Swap will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Aspen Middle School.

Twenty percent of the proceeds benefit the Aspen School District’s outdoor education and experimental education programs.

Old and used gear – skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, apparel and helmets, among others – will be up for grabs, all at discounted prices, some up to 75 percent.

The items are sold by individuals and merchants.

Sellers can pick up proceeds and unsold items between 2 and 4 p.m.
