Aspen ski club hosts Nordic Bonfire Dinner

Aspen Times staff report
Aspen, CO Colorado

ASPEN – There is no end to the opportunities to contribute to local worthy causes, but few are as unique and fun as the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s Nordic Bonfire Dinner.

This year’s event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Aspen Golf Course. Cross-country skiers and snowshoers will progress along a 1.5-kilometer course via candlelit trails. Their efforts on a cold night will be rewarded with stops at stations featuring warm beverages, hors d’oeuvres, soups and desserts from various restaurants in Aspen and Snowmass Village.

Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 13 and under, or $45 for a family of four. Ticket prices go up $5 the day of the event. All proceeds go to the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s nordic programs.

Ski rentals will be available for $5 at the Aspen Cross Country Center the night of the event.

Tickets are available at the Wheeler Opera House, the Aspen Cross Country Center and the ski club headquarters.
