ASPEN – The following Aspen Police activity occurred from May 19 through June 2. The arrests do not reflect a conviction in the cases, and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
May 21, 2011, 2:10 a.m. – Aspen Police officers contacted Anthony Brummett, 22, after witnessing him inside the Aspen Store/Local’s Corner, from which he had been banned. Brummett was issued a muni-court summons for trespassing and panhandling.
May 21, 9:30 p.m. – Officers attempted to stop Alexander Faktorow, 23, of Aspen for a traffic violation. After a brief car chase, Faktorow was arrested, transported to Pitkin County Jail, and charged with eluding police and speeding.
May 22, 12:05 a.m. – Police responded to a report of an intoxicated female. Alexandra Kahl, 20, of Aspen was transported to Pitkin County Jail and issued a muni-court summons for underage possession of alcohol (18-20).
May 25, 12:50 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in the core area. Eugene Gulotta, 42, of Aspen was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail where he was charged with DUI-drugs, DUI-alcohol, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, and hit and run on an unattended vehicle.
May 27, 4:04 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a trespassing at Aspen Valley Hospital. Thomas Schwerin, 71, of Carbondale was issued a summons for trespassing and displaying fictitious plates.
May 27, 10:35 p.m. -Police responded to a report of a theft at Local Spirits. Joana Green, 71, of Aspen was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail where she was charged with theft, $100-$500.
May 28, 12:40 a.m. – Officers arrested Landon Wright, 19, of Carbondale on an outstanding warrant from an outside agency. Wright was transported to Pitkin County Jail.
May 28, 1:54 a.m. – Officers contacted Derek Edgar, 27, of Basalt, after witnessing suspicious behavior in the downtown core area. Edgar was arrested and transported to the Pitkin County Jail where he was charged with theft ($100-$500), possession of cocaine and obstructing a police officer.
May 28, 8:20 p.m. – Jawnee Brugier, 42, of Aspen was arrested and transported to Pitkin County Jail where she was charged with trespassing, domestic violence, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of drugs.
May 29, 10:10 p.m. – Officers contacted Dmytro Parokha, 25, of Glenwood Springs after witnessing an open container. Parokha was arrested and transported to the Pitkin County Jail where he was charged with violation of a protection order.
