ASPEN – The city of Aspen is asking residents who might be affected by two construction projects to attend informational meetings to be held the next two Thursday evenings.

A neighborhood meeting regarding the upcoming Power Plant Road construction will take place July 23. The water line on Power Plant Road will be relocated beginning Aug. 3 as part of the Castle Creek Hydroelectric Project.  

 To find out more about the construction, the hydro project or the associated impacts, come to the Sister Cities Room in the basement of City Hall between 5 and 6 p.m. For more information, call (970) 429-1999.

 More details regarding the construction’s effect on traffic will be made available next week.

And on Thursday, July 30, the public is invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the proposed trail improvements to the No Problem Joe Trail at 5:30 p.m. in the Sister Cities Room at City Hall.

The city of Aspen Parks Department staff will present a design to improve and formalize the existing trail that runs along the south side of the Roaring Fork River between Neale Avenue and East Hopkins Avenue.
