Aspen Mountain goes overtime Friday

Sunset skiing returns to Aspen Mountain on Friday with extended ski/snowboard hours followed by a party at the Sundeck.

Aspen Mountain will run the Silver Queen Gondola and Ajax Express until 6 p.m. for sunset turns. In addition to top-to-bottom skiing/snowboarding, the Ruthie’s side of the mountain will stay open with access back to the gondola via Tower 7 Road.

The Sundeck also will host a party under the stars until 9:30 p.m. complete with a DJ, drink specials and a dance party. Last gondola up will be 9 p.m.

The event is free for kids ages 3 and younger as well as Aspen-Snowmass season passholders. The gondola is free to foot passengers after 4 p.m., not including lift access for skiing and riding.
