Aspen Mountain goes overtime Friday
Sunset skiing returns to Aspen Mountain on Friday with extended ski/snowboard hours followed by a party at the Sundeck.
Aspen Mountain will run the Silver Queen Gondola and Ajax Express until 6 p.m. for sunset turns. In addition to top-to-bottom skiing/snowboarding, the Ruthie’s side of the mountain will stay open with access back to the gondola via Tower 7 Road.
The Sundeck also will host a party under the stars until 9:30 p.m. complete with a DJ, drink specials and a dance party. Last gondola up will be 9 p.m.
The event is free for kids ages 3 and younger as well as Aspen-Snowmass season passholders. The gondola is free to foot passengers after 4 p.m., not including lift access for skiing and riding. Powers Art Center’s new exhibition ‘Wrapped’ opens Friday
The Powers Art Center is opening its newest exhibit, “Wrapped,” curated by Melissa English and Sonya Taylor-Moore on Friday, December 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibit will run through November 2, 2024.
