Aspen Local’s Choice returns

ASPEN – It’s Locals’ Choice time again. Every year The Aspen Times asks its readers to choose their favorite places, people, businesses and things to do.The rules in this annual contest are simple: Fill in each blank with your vote for your favorite – your answers can include any business or person or place in the valley. It just depends on which blank you’re filling in. The contest is broken into six sections. If you vote online, you’ll be automatically redirected to the next section after you click the submit button at the bottom of each ballot. The order is: Places, People, Food & Drink, Inside, Outside and Luxuries & Miscellaneous. You must complete the contest in one sitting. You cannot save and finish later.The easiest way to complete the ballot is online. Simply go to aspentimes.com, scroll down to the Features box and click on Locals’ Choice 2011. If you’ve never registered for an Aspen Times contest before, then you’ll be asked to fill out a short registration form. (We’ll auto-generate a confirmation email before you can proceed; check junk if it’s not in your inbox). We take these precautions to prevent ballot-stuffing.For those who prefer a printed ballot, simply read through The Aspen Times today or next Thursday, and find the two-page ballot form. Fill it out and return it to us at 310 E. Main St., Aspen, CO 81611. Don’t forget to put your name and contact information on the printed ballot, because all participants are eligible to win a dinner for two.All entries must be received by April 30 at midnight (printed ballots by 5 p.m.).The Locals’ Choice results will be announced at a party hosted by The Aspen Times on June 10 at the Aspen Historical Society, and a special section devoted to the results will be published on June 11.
