Aspen Institute to host transportation forum Thursday

The Aspen Institute will host its second community forum on transportation and mobility at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Doerr-Hosier Center.

The forum will include Ann Bowers and Chris Breiland of the transportation planning and engineering firm Fehr & Peers. John Sarpa will moderate the talk.

Bowers and Breiland will discuss new ways to reduce demand for transportation systems, while increasing convenience; emerging technologies that affect design, safety and efficiency of all travel modes; how lifestyle and behavioral trends influence transportation systems; and how big data helps us better understand travel patterns.

The forum is free and open to the public. More details are at http://www.aspeninstitute.org/rfvtransportation, and the event will be live-streamed at http://www.aspeninstitute.org/rfvtransportation.
