Aspen Institute talk on war, peace set

ASPEN – The Aspen Institute will play host to a discussion about “The New War and Peace” at 5 p.m. Friday at Aspen Meadows Restaurant. Cost is $10, with tickets available at and at the door.

The speakers will be Spirit of America founder and CEO Jim Hake, and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marty Sherwin.

The two will discuss U.S. humanitarian and stability efforts, Spirit of America’s experiences with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the challenges of introducing new approaches to large bureaucracies.
