Aspen Historical Society saddles up on Tuesday

The Aspen Historical Society will explore the evolution of the horse’s role in the Roaring Fork Valley during its Time Travel Tuesday panel “Equestrian: Happy Trails” on Tuesday. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Limelight Hotel. Cost is $8 or free for Aspen Historical Society members at the Lixiviator level.

Speakers include Besha Lu Deane, special events manager for T-Lazy-7 Ranch and third-generation rancher; Lisa Hall Flynn, horse trainer and certified riding instructor; Jim Snyder, manager of the Snowmass Rodeo and Owl Creek Ranch; and Robb Van Pelt, guide for Snowmass Creek Outfitters and ranching real estate broker.

The Limelight Lodge happy hour includes $4 draft beers and $10 pizzas during these presentations. The society will hold a weekly drawing for a gift certificate for the Limelight.
