ASPEN ” The first week of March brings only a slight chance of snow to the slopes of Aspen and Snowmass, where sunny skies prevailed through the weekend.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies by late Monday, after another day of sunshine and shirtsleeve weather at midday. Partly sunny skies with highs in the 40s and a 20 percent chance of snow are expected Tuesday in Aspen.
The 20 percent chance of snow remains in the forecast Tuesday night, but the weather service is predicting partly sunny skies and highs in the 40s on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy conditions and a 20 percent chance of snow are back in the forecast Thursday and Friday. The chance of snow bumps up to 30 percent on Saturday and Sunday, according to the weather service.
