Aspen forecast: sun, chance of rain, maybe snow

ASPEN ” After another spate of pleasant weekday weather, Aspen may see rain ” or even snow ” this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Partly sunny skies are predicted by Friday afternoon, with mostly cloudy conditions Friday night. Sunshine is expected Saturday morning, but a 20 percent chance of rain is forecast by afternoon, with highs in the 50s. Snow is possible in the evening, the weather service said. Mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain are forecast Saturday night, followed by partly sunny skies and highs in the 50s on Sunday.

Partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s are expected Monday and Tuesday, according to the weather service.



In the lower valley, including Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, highs in the 60s are expected Friday. Sunny skies on Saturday morning will become partly sunny in the afternoon, again with highs in the 60s. Sunday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs of 65 to 75.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast Monday, with highs in the 70s, according to the weather service.
