Aspen forecast: Plenty of sun

ASPEN ” Sunshine dominates Aspen’s forecast early this week, before a chance for snow and rain move in on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday’s forecast calls for highs of 35 to 45, under mostly sunny skies. On Tuesday, the weather service is predicting highs in the 40s and mostly sunny skies, with west winds of 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, there’s a 20 percent chance of participation ” snow in the morning and snow or rain in the afternoon, with highs in the 40s. Partly sunny skies remain in the forecast, though, despite the chance for rain or snow.

Mostly cloudy conditions are expected Thursday and Friday, with highs in the 40s on Thursday and from 45 to 55 on Friday.

The weather service is predicting a slight chance of precipitation on Sunday, with weekend highs in the 40s and a mixture of clouds and sun.
