Aspen for Animals tennis tourney returns July 10-12


Tournament tennis is back in Aspen.

The Aspen Golf and Tennis Club will host the second annual Aspen for Animals Tennis Tournament on July 10-12.

“This is an adult NTRP level USTA sanctioned singles, doubles and mixed doubles tennis tournament where all the proceeds will be donated to the Aspen Animal Shelter,” said Gary Quandt, director of tennis at Aspen Golf and Tennis, located along Highway 82 at the entrance to Aspen.

Quandt said players can enter the tournament by going to the USTA/ website.

The tournament number is 250013115.

Entry deadline for the Aspen tennis tournament is 5 p.m. Monday.

In other court news, there will be free introductory pickleball clinics at the new courts at Iselin Field, sponsored by the Aspen Recreation Center.

Paddles and balls will be provided for theclinic.

Saturday, July 18, 9 a.m.
