Aspen Fire Department to hold Sept. 11 observance

The Aspen Fire Department will hold a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday to honor those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The service will take place in front of the fire station, located at 420 E. Hopkins Ave. in Aspen.
After the memorial service, the fire department will provide pizza and refreshments at no cost. The fire department requests that people planning to attend please call them at 970-925-2690 and RSVP to help with planning how much food to provide.
