Aspen fire delivers
Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Aspen Junior Hockey Midget Team, I would like to thank the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department for its generosity! The fire department allowed the Midget Hockey team to use its beautiful new firehouse facility to host a car wash and bake sale.
The Midget team will be traveling to Scandinavia over the Thanksgiving holiday as representatives of Aspen Junior Hockey. This is a biannual event that alternates with the girl’s hockey team traveling on the alternate years. The trip is a cultural exchange as well as a hockey trip. This was our first major fundraiser for the trip, and it was a huge success thanks to the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department!
A special thank-you to Darryl Grob, who bought all the boys pizza and helped us control the traffic flow.
