Aspen event features candidates for county commissioner

ASPEN – The four candidates vying for election to the District 4 Pitkin County commissioner seat will discuss various issues at Wednesday’s Aspen Business Luncheon.

Steve Wickes, of the Aspen Community Foundation, will moderate a discussion involving candidates Steve Child, Darryl Grob, John B. Young and John Wilkinson. The airport expansion, the library expansion, water issues, land conservation, the tourism economy and marijuana laws are among the topics identified for discourse. There will also be time for a Q-and-A.

The luncheon begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Hotel Jerome. The buffet lunch is $30 (cash or check only; make out the check in advance to The Aspen Business Luncheon). Attendees should RSVP to toddshaver@aspenbusinessluncheon.com.
