ASPEN – Aspenites Lara and Marc Whitley will present a talk and slide show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, about their family sabbatical in Guanajuato, Mexico.

The event, Family in a Strange Land: A Year-long Adventure Abroad with Kids (And How You Can Do It Too!), will be held at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, as part of the center’s Potbelly Perspectives series. The event is free for members of ACES, and $4 for non-members.

The Whitleys will talk about how the experience transformed the family of four, brought them closer together, and made them determined to live more intentional, creative lives back home in Aspen. The evening will include loads of images from their year down south as well as practical tips on the how and why of pursuing your own family sabbatical.
