Aspen Community Church concert to honor victims of gun violence

Staff report

Aspen Community Church will hold a memorial concert for victims of gun violence at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The concert, titled “I, Too, Sing America,” will be presented by voice students of the Aspen Music School.

“As citizen musicians, we hope to commemorate the lives of those lost in recent gun violence tragedies within the LGBT and African-American communities,” said Tessa Romano, one of the student organizers. ”We would like to invite the Aspen community to consider the impact of inequality and its role in these events.”

The concert is free and open to the public.

Aspen Community Church is located at 200 E. Bleeker St. For more information, contact the church office at 970-925-1571.
