Skico job fair today

Aspen Skiing Co. will host a job fair for ski school positions from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Bumps Restaurant at the base of Buttermilk Ski Area.

Additional upcoming job fairs will be held at Bumps on Oct. 10 and Nov. 14.

Aspen Hall seeks nominations

The Aspen Hall of Fame is currently seeking nominations for inductees.

Nomination forms can be found at the group’s website, or by calling Carol Ann Jacobson Kopf at 970-379-4716. Deadline for nominations is Sept. 15.

Physics lecture on Thursday

The Aspen Center for Physics will hold a lecture with 2001 Nobel Laureate Wolfgang Ketterle at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Paepcke Auditorium.

He received the Nobel for his work on the Bose-Einstein Condensate and his work continues to expand into new areas. His lecture is titled “From the Hot Big Bang to the Coldest Temperatures Ever Achieved.”

The center’s last lecture is set for 6:30 Aug. 22 at Paepcke, with Marc Kamionkowski from The Johns Hopkins University.
