ASPEN – The Colorado Department of Transportation will be doing repair work on the Highway 82 Castle Creek bridge Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The project will impact travel in and out of Aspen.
During the work, downvalley motorists will be detoured through the West End and back onto the highway at Cemetery Lane. Upvalley traffic will stay on Highway 82, using one lane of the bridge.
Crews will be working on the downvalley end of the bridge, to mill, repair and fill the section near the abutment. The project could wrap up before 3:30 p.m., according to CDOT.
