Aspen birding tour this Thursday

The Roaring Fork Audubon and Roaring Fork Conservancy will play host to a morning of birding at the Maroon Creek wetlands from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Aspen Golf Course. The event will happen rain or shine; participants are advised to bring binoculars and wear appropriate attire.

The Maroon Creek wetlands are a temporary home to dozens of migratory birds during the early summer.

This free event is underwritten by the City of Aspen Parks and Open Space. Registration is required at http://www.roaringfork.org/events. For more information, call 970-927-1290.
