Aspen-area booze makers get a nod
Two Aspen-area makers of craft booze have earned accolades from Outside Magazine.
In its “6 Ski Towns with the Best Craft Beer” listings, Aspen made the cut, thanks to Aspen Brewing Co. and Woody Creek Distillers (which is actually located in Basalt).
Outside noted that Aspen Brewing’s Belgian Farmhouse Saison has landed a few awards, and it praised Woody Creek Distillers for its Stobrawa vodka, calling it a “flavorful liquor.”
Other ski towns making the cut were Bend, Oregon (Deschutes Brewing Co. and Red Tank Cider), Jackson Hole, Wyoming (Roadhouse Brewing Co. and Q Roadhouse and Brewing Co.), Park City, Utah (Wasatch Brewing Co. and High West Distillery and Saloon), Telluride (Telluride Brewing Co. and Smugglers Brewpub) and Vail (10th Mountain Whiskey and Spirit Co. and Crazy Mountain Brewery).
