Aspen a tennis town

I want to thank Scott Dorais for organizing the Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament that was held at the Aspen Club last weekend.

Aspen used to be more of a tennis town with up to four sanctioned tournaments a summer here. We still are the home to many tennis greats, and players continue to come here to visit. Just last week, I watched Billie Jean King practice with Julie Anthony at the club.

It is nice to have a local’s event, and have Scott’s enthusiasm for tennis back in the valley.

I know there were many sponsors like Boogies, Paradise Bakery, Flying Dog Beer and the new restaurant Iguana’s that need a thank you too. It is local businesses like these that keep Aspen special.

Thank you.
