Ashamed (and vocal)

Dear Editor:Who the hell does Greg Hunter think he is telling vocal Democrats that since they lost the election, they should be silent (Aspen Times, Nov. 26)? Despite the current administration’s efforts to stifle dissent, they have not yet managed to overturn the First Amendment. Also, I’m not so sure that the majority of Americans do not agree with the Democrats. Granted, the last two elections have been awarded to Bush/Cheney, but the fairness and credibility of elections are just as doubtful here in the U.S. of A. as they are in the Ukraine. Greg had better get used to it, because as long as the current administration arrogantly continues its policies of secrecy, fear and dishonesty, to squander our natural and economic resources, the health and welfare of its citizens, the environment, and the lives of its military, he is going to hear about it from the people who still give a damn about something besides tax cuts for the rich and gay marriage. I love this country, but I am ashamed of this country’s government. Russell HedmanCarbondale
