Artful gratitude

Dear Editor:The Glenwood Springs Art Guild would like to extend our warm thank-you to our community for your support of our 43rd annual Fall Art Festival. We had a very successful year with many of you joining us. We look forward to the Fall Art Festival all year, and as always, our community turned out to support us and our efforts in promoting the arts in our valley. With such a supportive community, the arts in the valley will thrive and many generations to come will benefit. As we are packing the boxes and materials to be used again next year, we reminisce about this year’s festival. We remember our ever-faithful Purchase Patrons, our walk-in viewers, the artists who produce such beautiful work, the city of Glenwood for its support, the Ramada Inn for their extra work, our sponsors for their tireless support, our local newspapers and radio stations, the companies who so generously donated door prizes, our merchant display participants, the Glenwood Springs chamber for its support, and most of all the guild members who donated hours of their time once again to the festival. The Fall Art Festival would not be the finest and largest nonjuried art show in the state without the gift of time, talent and goods given by the members of our community. We had another awesome show of art this year, and all of the proceeds will be funneled back into arts education materials and scholarships for our valley. If we spend our lives giving what we have to enrich the lives of others, we have spent them well indeed! Thank you!Arlene LawCoordinator, 43rd annual Fall Art FestivalGlenwood Springs Art Guild
