Art Museum looks for iSight participants
Aspen, CO Colorado
ASPEN ” The Aspen Art Museum’s Young Curators of the Roaring Fork is inviting young artists to submit artwork for the group’s spring exhibition, iSight. The show is open to artists between the ages of 13 and 21, and working in any medium.
iSight will show at the Hines Room of the Aspen Meadows Kresge Building, and opens with a public reception April 27, at 4 p.m. The theme focuses on the role of music in our culture; a curatorial statement from the Young Curators asks exhibition participants to “create their own artistic response to a specific song/composition of their choosing.”
Artists should submit digital images of their work, along with their name, age, school, telephone number, e-mail address and a brief statement about their choice of song or composition, and how the work relates to the iSight theme. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Feb. 23, and should be sent to the attention of Morley McBride at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Submission forms and other details are available at http://www.aspenartmuseum.org/edu/programs.htm#young.
Next Monday, Feb. 13, the council will host a work session on the results of the city’s outreach on the aging New Castle Creek Bridge. Next-step recommendations are expected to be announced at the meeting.
