Tonight: Artist reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Council Gallery, 645 Main St. in Carbondale, for an exhibit featuring work by Charles Andrade, Mary Whalen, Nancy Kullgren, Virginia Neary-Carrithers and Sheri Gaynor.Tuesday, April 5: Charles Andrade will speak on “Art as a Meditative Practice: Intro to Goethe’s Color Theory” at 7 p.m. at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork, located near Carbondale, a half-mile upvalley from the Catherine Store on the Highway 82 frontage road.Saturday, April 9: Andrade will lead a Goethe color theory workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Artists’ Resource Center, 579 Main St. in Carbondale. Cost is $25.Monday, April 11: Gerry Michel will speak on “The Art and Science of Color: A Wholistic Approach,” and Sheri Gaynor will lecture on “Color as Language, Meaning and Metaphor.” The talks begin at 7 p.m. at the Waldorf School.Tuesday, April 19: Dr. Will Evans on “Tending the Fire of Healing” and Virginia Neary Carrithers on “The Healing Power of Creativity.” The lectures begin at 7 p.m. at the Waldorf School.For more information, call 963-1680.
