Art Aspen reports highest attendance in its history

Art Aspen, which took place at the Aspen Ice Garden Aug. 4-7, experienced the highest attendance in its history, event organizers reported this week. In all, nearly 6,000 art enthusiasts attended the four-day fair, with aisles buzzing throughout the weekend with collectors and art patrons viewing unique works.

Art Aspen kicked off its festivities with an Opening Night Preview that drew 600 attendees on Aug. 4. This marked an increase of nearly 50 percent from the previous year. Many notable artists and locals were in attendance throughout the weekend including collectors Sharon and John Hoffman, artists Laura Kimpton represented by Zener Schon Contemporary Art, RETNA represented by Casterline|Goodman, Jill Hackney represented by Duane Reed Gallery, and Gino Miles represented by Tansey Contemporary, as well as Anderson Ranch Arts Center Executive Director Nancy Wilhelms, among others.
