Charmaine Locke and James Surls were the 2010 Arts Tribute honorees for the Red Brick Council for the Arts. The awards dinner was held March 18 at the Hotel Jerome.Charmaine and James have lived in the Aspen area since 1997 and have been a vital force in the art community, exhibiting and collaborating with local arts organizations on a level of national significance. “They have been instrumental in enriching the Roaring Fork Valley with their projects and activities,” said Debra Muzikar, executive director of the Red Brick Center for the Arts.At the end of the ski season, Karin Reid Offield held a gathering at the Sundeck honoring her late father, Roy Reid, who was an Aspen realtor and a longtime ski instructor. Many Aspenites attended the festive occasion.The annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen will be held the weekend of June 18-20 for the 28th year. This year, back by popular demand, is the Grand Tasting Day Pass for $295. The pass will provide guests the opportunity to attend two Grand Tastings in a single day on Friday, June 18 or Saturday, June 19. The Grand Tastings take place at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. both days.
