This week I have more Flamingo A-Go-Go photos since there were so many people at the fantastic pink party.

To follow up on last week’s column, Flamingo-A-Go-Go raised $300,000 for the Aspen Education Foundation.

Aspen photographer David Marlow has the cover and two feature stories in the May issue of LUXE magazine. The cover shows the entry of an East Denver home designed by Washington, D.C. architects David Neumann and Deborah Slaunwhite of Neumann Lewis Buchanan Architects. The home combines English arts and crafts with American influences. Interior design was done by Melinda Douglas of Denver, who also designed the Sally Cole home in Basalt. The second article features the Aspen home of Cheryl McArthur on Red Mountain. The existing home was taken down to the studs by McArthur, creating open, flowing spaces. The interiors are oriental, influenced by local designer Kathy Hansel of KB Hansel Interiors. Marlow just returned from Los Angeles, where he was shooting furniture for designer Craig Wright and combining meetings for a full-length feature film called “The Handshake,” for which he is executive director.

Undercurrent … Now is the time for children to start walking up the mountains under the chairlifts, looking for treasures.
