Around Aspen: Klaus Obermeyer’s Birthday
Aspen, Times Weekly
One of the signals for the start of the winter ski season is Klaus Obermeyer’s birthday on Dec. 2. This year he turned 91, as hale and hearty as ever.
The party was held at the Wienerstube, where Klaus has breakfast almost every morning. He is saddened that the restaurant will be torn down next year to make way for a new Aspen Art Museum.
In addition to many Aspen friends, two of Klaus’ sons, Klaus Jr. and Henry Obermeyer, came for the occasion.
Undercurrent … Holiday party season starts next week!
