Around Aspen: Catching up

Somehow there is never enough space in high season for all my photos, so in the offseason I will run some of the ones I liked but couldn’t find space for.

This week I will run photos of the Fishhouse Punch Party, a show at the Red Brick Art Center, a reception at the home of Molly and Tom Bedell for Aron Ralston after his movie and talk at the Wheeler for the benefit of the Wilderness Workshop, and some from the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Gala.

Soon the summer season will begin with the Food and Wine Classic. A $395 Grand Tasting Day Pass was recently announced and allows passholders to attend two tastings in a single day, either on Friday, June 17, or Saturday, June 18, at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The one-day passes are available at

Undercurrent … The daffodils, tulips and violets are finally blooming. Oh joy!
