In appreciation of all their loyal supporters, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet held a cocktail reception on March 5 at The Caribou Club.Members of Les Dames d’Aspen were there, as well as many other people who give time and funds. In February Les Dames gave $92,000 to the ballet, and another $34,000 was split between the Aspen Writers’ Foundation, Theatre Aspen, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Aspen Music Fesival & School, the Aspen Music Festival & School’s Robert Harth Memorial Fund, and college scholarships in the arts for students from the Aspen and Basalt schools.The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will hold its 15th annual “City of Aspen Luncheon” on Wednesday, April 7, at the Doerr-Hosier Center at the Aspen Meadows. There will be a discussion on Aspen’s economy, a financial forecast and special events funding plans.Undercurrent … It’s time to take down the Christmas wreath by the front door and replace it with a fabric spring flower wreath that I ordered from the marketplace of Colonial Williamsburg.
