Armed robbers hit Edwards Cash Express

EDWARDS, Colo. – Two men are at large after robbing the Ace Cash Express in Edwards at gunpoint Saturday morning.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office reported that officers responded to an armed robbery at the business at 429 Edwards Spur Road at 9:35 am.

The sheriff’s office gave the following description:

The two suspects are described as Spanish-speaking, Hispanic males of medium build, wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks over their faces. The suspects were armed with handguns.

The clerk was bound and the suspects left with an undermined amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident. Witnesses believe the suspects were last seen running to the east toward Wendy’s restaurant. The suspects were seen in the area before the business opened.

The robbery remains under investigation. If a tip leads to the arrest and indictment of any suspect involved, up to a $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward could be awarded.
