Armed robber hits Glenwood bank

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” Glenwood Springs Police officers are investigating an armed robbery at a branch of Alpine Bank Monday afternoon in Glenwood Springs.

Officers responded to the Alpine Bank t 50891 Highway 6 in West Glenwood Springs at about 5:30 p.m., after the robbery occurred, said Glenwood Springs Police Chief Terry Wilson.

No one was injured during the robbery, Wilson said. He declined to reveal any further details about the incident Monday evening.

Bruce Robinson, regional president for Alpine Bank’s Colorado River Region, also wouldn’t elaborate.

“We’re just very thankful that no one was injured,” he said.

Wilson said more details about the robbery may be forthcoming Tuesday.
