Dear Editor:I wish to publicly thank our Congressman John T. Salazar and his staff, notably Gail Gnirk, for performing a miracle that no one else was able to perform. I sent my U.S passport in for renewal in the first week of January. April arrived, my intended trip to South Africa went – no passport. When I filled in the appropriate forms to trace what had happened to it, they informed me that they had never heard OF (not from) me. In desperation, I called Mr. Salazar’s office and was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Within less than a week of contacting him, my passport arrived at my front door via Federal Express. Other than the fact that I missed my trip to Africa, I now feel that I DO exist.Thank you again, needless to say, you have my vote!Rosemary HarwoodCarbondale
