Angels in our midst
Dear Editor:
I would like to express my gratitude to Pathfinder Valley Angels, and share with the community my experience with this wonderful local volunteer organization.
I recently had major hip surgery, requiring me to be on crutches and non-weight bearing for six to eight weeks. I am a working mother with two small children. My husband is an amazing father and caregiver, but works full-time during the day and has a second job three nights a week. Needless to say, we needed outside help to care for our children.
Pathfinder Angels delivered to our home two to three home-cooked meals every week for eight weeks. This service was a true gift and eased the strain on my friends and family during my recovery. Pathfinder Angels have a growing number of volunteers that are enthusiastic to provide services to individuals and families in need.
Our community is so lucky to have such amazing people willing to give their time to help others in need. Thank you to all the people who provided my family with meals, and thank you for supporting many others in need. Being touched by these “angels” allowed my family to have a more positive experience during my recovery. For more information about Pathfinder Valley Angels or to ask for support, please call 970-925-1226.
