The Anderson Ranch Arts Center’s Annual Art Auction is the nonprofit organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, bringing in several hundred thousand dollars for the Ranch’s programs.

Beyond that, the auction provides an opportunity for people ” local supporters, collectors, the Ranch staff, and artists from around the world ” to rally around a vital and beloved institution. Many of the artists don’t simply dig through their basement to donate a piece, but create a one-of-a-kind work ” often doing so at the Ranch itself ” specifically for the auction. Anderson Ranch welcomes everyone by making the event not just an auction, but a community picnic, with live music as well.

The auction is set for Saturday, Aug. 9, at Anderson Ranch’s Snowmass Village campus; the live auction, the centerpiece of the day, features works by George Condo, Damien Hirst, Lamar Briggs and many others.
