Anderson Ranch gives thanks

Dear Editor:

It is with great pleasure that we thank the Aspen/Snowmass community for wonderful support of Anderson Ranch Arts Center’s 31st Annual Art Auction on Saturday, Aug. 13. Through its generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal and raised $509,000 for Anderson Ranch programs.

Deserving special thanks are the many national, international and local artists who contributed their work for our silent and live auctions, and the volunteers who helped us with the auction events and picnic that drew more than 400 people to the Ranch. We dedicated the day to celebrate the life of our friend and benefactor Charles Wyly. From the results, we believe he was here in spirit in many ways.

In-kind support was received from several businesses including World Life Water and Aspen Magazine, as well as Dan Sheridan, whose music filled our beautiful blue-sky afternoon.

Sincere thanks are extended to all for an extremely successful event and continuing investment in Anderson Ranch Arts Center programs.
