An inspirational night, thanks to JAS

Dear Editor:

The Buddy Program is incredibly grateful to Joe Lang, Marc Breslin, Jim Horowitz and Chris Steiner at Jazz Aspen Snowmass for donating tickets and coordinating an unforgettable “meet and greet” with Mr. Michael Franti. This past Friday, Sept. 4, a number of Buddy Pairs had the honor of meeting Mr. Franti before his performance and were then invited to go on stage to close his show.

There was so much excitement among the Big and Little Buddies alike for the opportunity to meet such an inspiring role model. Some Little Buddies have never been to a JAS Festival before, and most Buddies have never experienced being on stage in front of thousands of people! The Little Buddies faces were priceless, and we are sure they will never forget this magical night.

Thank you, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, for exposing our Buddies and staff to Michael Franti’s positive energy and outlook. It was exceptionally inspiring!
