An injustice at Historical Society
Dear Editor:
I was disappointed by the dumping of Tom Egan to go after big money ($4,000,000 campaign … Aspen Daily News, Friday, March 25).
Tom’s success with the non “big money” donations of $18, $50, and $100 donors has been unparalleled. As board members of the Aspen Historical Society, our acceptance of this injustice means we are not being true to both our legacy and our history.
Why did differing viewpoints result in a termination? There is nothing wrong about wooing big money; but, arrogance and abuse of power rarely make for good listening skills.
