An inattentive driver’s paradise

Dear Editor:Welcome to Aspen where you can learn to ski in the winter and learn to drive in the summer. This quaint, old mining town is a perfect place for anyone eager to learn driving skills since the locals are as wary as deer and just as fleet of foot. Enjoy the challenges of dueling with other drivers for the parking space closest to your favorite shop or restaurant. Feel free to ignore politeness, consideration, bicyclists and pedestrians to your heart’s content; as long as you have your cell phone plugged into your ear it doesn’t count. Go ahead, enjoy yourself, they’re only tourists.Real Aspenites don’t live in this town or walk the streets. If they did they’d be out there driving their Range Rovers and Ford Subdivisions like you, wouldn’t they?Paul HarrisAspen
