An ignorant headline

Dear Editor:I was so appalled to read your headlines today! “Police seek Latinos after Basalt shooting” Is this serious? With this headline you imply that all Latinos are somehow at fault for shooting, even though the article states that “Someone fired shots into the Basalt 7-Eleven,” pointing out the fact that the perpetrators of this crime may have not even been Latino in the first place (not that this is even the point).Would your paper publish a headline like “Police seek Caucasians after Basalt shooting”? It is this kind of insensitivity that leads to ignorant racial retaliation, and frankly makes your city appear to be quite ignorant. I hope that in the future your paper will be more sensitive.Delia Raab-SnyderLos Angeles
