An honest mistake?

Dear Editor:

On Saturday, Aug. 18, my friend and I borrowed a trailer from a friend and loaded it with construction supplies that we wanted to give away.

We parked it in front of a residence on Highway 82 between Blue Lake and Catherine’s Store. We put up free signs to let people know. We also locked the trailer to let people know the trailer was not available. About an hour later we went out to check. All of the supplies were on the ground and the trailer was gone.

Please return the trailer as we would like to return it to our friend. Thank you.
