An endorsement for Ittner
August 8, 2010
As a former business partner to Rob Ittner, and previous longtime local, I would like to endorse him as a candidate for county commissioner. My experience with Rob over the years is that, besides being an excellent restaurateur with a good head for business and a strong sense of fiscal responsibility, he has also proven himself to be a dedicated hard worker.
Rob and I opened Rustique together in 2000, and he became sole owner in 2005. The fact that he has been able to successfully operate Rustique as one of Aspen’s more renowned establishments, while maintaining quality and retaining staff in these economic times, is a testament to his management capabilities. I also know from experience that Rob is passionate about the valley and all that it has to offer locals, second-home owners and tourists alike. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and like most dyed-in-the-wool Aspenites, endeavors to balance his business life with his appreciation for the natural splendors of the environment.
I am confident that, if elected, Rob would conduct himself in a responsible, dedicated and professional manner in standing up for the values that make Pitkin County such a great place to live, work and recreate.
Suffice it to say that if I could vote for Rob Ittner for county commissioner, I would.
