An artful thanks

Dear Editor: Thanks to Kent Reed, Alpine Bank and the Aspen Art Museum for reminding us, this past weekend, that this valley is full of remarkable performing and visual artists. The “Melange” vaudeville show by Kent and friends was a beautiful, funny, and amazing event at the Wheeler.Alpine Bank’s valleywide studio tour led us to the sources of the work of painters, sculptors, and ceramists – many of whom compete nationally. The museum’s 2005 Roaring Fork Open offered us all sorts of visual art and a whimsical way of discovering who did what. And the Goddess contributed gorgeous fall weather. Michael KinsleyOld Snowmass
