An amazing event

Dear Editor:I would like to thank all the organizers of the Ride for the Cure for putting on an amazing and really fabulous event on Sept. 11. We did have a stellar day to ride, but beyond that, the organization, Web site, information made available, dinner at the Hotel Jerome, breakfast in the park, the volunteers and the aid stations, and the ride itself made for a wonderful event and was a blast! I’ve spent some pretty amazing days in the mountains, but Saturday will remain with me forever as extra-special.Originally signing up for this ride to ride 100 miles, I found that to become very unimportant as the purpose of the ride became very important and close to my heart. The response from my supporters was overwhelming and I would like to thank each and everyone of you, including my husband’s company, Harriman Construction, for supporting me for this ride. Also, a special thanks to Paulina Vander Noordaa, whose continual inspiration and motivation made this ride so much fun to share as we rode together throughout this incredible day. As for all you volunteers, you were all awesome! This wouldn’t and couldn’t have happened without you, and we all are so grateful and appreciate all you did for all of us riders. At the end of the ride, we were treated to smoothies, beer, great food and even amazing massages donated by The Aspen Club. With appreciation and thanks to all!Lisa HarrimanAspen
