An amazing benefit

Dear Editor:

Thank you to everyone involved in the Haiti Benefit Concert and Silent Auction last Thursday night at the Wheeler Opera House. It was a hugely successful event raising $55,000 for The Mercy and Sharing foundation.

Thank you to all of the talented performers – Dan Sadowsky, Cottonwood Acoustic, Starcher Hutsen, The Defiance String Band, The Crowlin Ferlies, John Oates and Kathy Chiavola, Twirp Anderson, Jimmy Ibbotson, Bobby Mason and friends, The Derek Brown Band, Pastor Brian Roessler and Sonja Linman. All of our gratitude to Gram Slaton and the entire staff of the Wheeler Opera house. You are truly the best. Special thanks to Liz Shapiro, who coordinated the silent auction and to all who helped her. Thank you to all of the sponsors.

Special thanks to KSNO and The Aspen Marketing Group for promoting the event. This was a true community effort. The love and support for Susie and Joe Krabacher and the amazing work they do on behalf of the children of Haiti was evident. Please keep the children of Mercy and Sharing in your heart.
