All that glitzes isn’t gold
Dear Editor:
Been out of town, but hear sales-tax talk is all about raising it.
Taxing food is just plain wrong. It’s about the only item people need in Aspen anymore. Oh, and The Thrift Shop. Thank you, ladies.
Do what you want in the retail sector, but eliminate all tax on groceries. Prices are high and going higher; it’s a diesel and gas thing. And wages are sorta static.
Aspen glitzes, but is in no way self-supporting.
