All hail the Big Wrap
Dear Editor: In response to previous letters to the editor regarding the Big Wrap, its owner, Babs, and her employees, I’m surprised to discover that some people have had unpleasant experiences while eating at the Wrap. Living in Aspen for nearly five years, the Big Wrap has become a staple in my Aspen diet. Not only is the food always fresh and tasty, the staff, especially Babs, never ceased to be courteous and polite. While I cannot attest to the experiences of others, every time I walk in the door I know the quality of food and the service behind it will be exceptional. Babs runs that joint like clockwork, and the proof is in the numbers. Six days a week for lunch, there is a line out the door of loyal customers waiting for quality food that isn’t baked, battered, boiled, or fried (a rarity in Aspen). And in a town where most lunches cost upwards of $20, I’m more than happy to shell out $8 or $9 bucks for a fresh lunch. Babs, and everyone at the Wrap … keep it up.Luke MathisonAspen

It’s hard to fight City Hall and even harder to fight well-funded neighbors who don’t want any development near them, a local man has realized. So he settled for less than what he and his partner bought the property for.
